Granular Composition Test Set
A grain-size distribution test set complete with an electromagnetic sieve shaker and a standard sieve set for dry and wet sieving. Suited to analysing the coarse fractions of soil samples.
Analysis of Coarse Soil Fractions
Grain-size distribution testing helps classify soils to international standards (complying with DIN ISO 3310-1, DIN ISO 3310-2, AFNOR, and ASTM standards). The set includes: an electromagnetic sieve shaker holding up to 8 sieves; and twelve 200 mm diameter stainless-steel wire-mesh sieves with a range of aperture sizes, each with a lid and receiver.
The electromagnetic sieve shaker keeps the sample in continuous motion, ensuring the best sieving results and an accurate grain-size distribution. The sieve shaker and stainless-steel sieves are suited to both wet and dry sieving.

The sieve set is used to analyse the coarse fractions of soil samples. For a complete grain-size analysis, the Hydrometer Kit is also needed for the finer fractions.
