Bailer — Stainless Steel
This high-quality stainless-steel bailer is available with a stainless-steel or plastic valve, in several diameters.
The bailer lets you take relatively clean samples. It consists of an open stainless-steel tube with a specially shaped opening at the bottom, closed by a stainless-steel or synthetic valve. The stainless-steel valve is more precise during pulsing; the plastic valve is more flexible towards fine gravel. The valve opens to a maximum angle of roughly 45°. Available in 55 or 63 mm diameter, the bailer has a defined amount of play inside the drill pipe.
The bailer has a bayonet connection, allowing various extension rods to be attached. Because the bayonet connection is hinged, the bailer can be released without disconnecting the extension rods.
