CRS 170 DUO
A DUO sonic drill rig slightly larger than the CRS 140 DUO, with a four-speed rotary head.
The CRS 170 DUO is slightly larger than the CRS 140 DUO and, like its smaller sibling, offers an extremely powerful True 150 Hz frequency. It comes with a CompactRotoSonic 34K drill head together with a four-speed rotary head; the heads are easily swapped by sliding the trolley board left or right, making it possible to easily combine sonic sampling with diamond drilling in the same borehole.
An automatic drill rod manipulator allows pipes to be handled without manual contact. It is suitable for a wide range of purposes, including mineral sampling, environmental research, geotechnical sampling and testing, geo-construction drilling and seismic drilling. Its 170 HP stage 5 CAT engine provides the power needed for all these applications.
